Your Complete IVF Journey
Starting IVF can feel overwhelming, but understanding each step helps reduce anxiety and prepare you for what's ahead.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation where we'll:
- Review your medical history
- Discuss previous fertility treatments
- Perform initial assessments
- Create a personalized treatment plan
Step 2: Ovarian Stimulation
For approximately 10-14 days, you'll take fertility medications to stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple eggs.
Step 3: Egg Retrieval
A minor surgical procedure to collect eggs from your ovaries, performed under sedation.
Step 4: Fertilization
Your eggs are combined with sperm in our laboratory. We may use ICSI for optimal fertilization.
Step 5: Embryo Development
Embryos develop in our state-of-the-art incubators for 3-5 days.
Step 6: Embryo Transfer
One or two embryos are carefully transferred to your uterus in a simple procedure.
Step 7: The Two-Week Wait
After transfer, you'll wait approximately two weeks before taking a pregnancy test.
